The ‘moistest’ brownie cake ever…

If you’ve been dreaming about the moist- AF -chocolate- cake that Bruce Bogtrotter ate in the 1996 movie ‘Matilda’, honey, we’ve found the recipe.

By day two of dieting, most of us are convulsing and sweating if we find ourselves walking past a cake display. However, breaking your diet with cake that is as average as sex with your ex is totally not worth it. That’s why we’ve found the ‘tried and tested’ chocolate brownie cake recipe that will have you trading a lifetime of Xanor for just one bite.



Step 1

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 cups sugar

      (Mix these two together)


Step 2

Bring to boil the following

  • 250g Stark Bake Margarine
  • Half a cup of oil
  • 1 cup water
  • A quarter cup of cocoa

Step 3

Mix together contents of Step 1 and newly boiled Step 2

Step 4

Add these items to Step 3 mixture

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon bicarb
  • Half a cup of buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Step 5

Pour into a greased pan and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius


Step 6 – The icing.

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Bring to boil and add 250g icing sugar

Pour over cool brownies and allow to set and then slice.
